How to Monitor Your Active Tester Count in Play Console

Knowing exactly where your tester count stands is the difference between catching a drop on day 10 and discovering it on day 14.
Where to look
Play Console → Testing → Closed testing → pick your track → Manage testers → Tester report.
What you'll see
- Number of opted-in testers.
- Number of active testers (the one that counts).
- Per-tester install status and last-active timestamp.
How often it updates
Roughly every 24 hours. Tester actions taken in the last few hours may not show yet. Don't panic if a tester says they installed an hour ago and the report is stale.
The schedule that catches everything
- Day 3: all opted-in testers should be active or chased.
- Day 7: nudge anyone still inactive.
- Day 10: last realistic chance to add more.
- Day 14: confirm before submitting for production.
